They are probably fine. I keep my house pretty cool too, and my weasels are ok. As long as they have beds and places to snuggle, they will be plenty warm.

    Awww.

Yes, your ferrets will be fine.

They can tell when they need to warm up. They know how to go to the heat sources. They are showing normal ferret behavior.

Also, you can tell when they get hot. They will get out of their beds and go sleep on their platforms to cool down.

    You’re being a good owner!

    ^_^

By the way, remember they like to stash things. So don’t keep anything of value in their reach. (Socks, keys, earrings, etc.)

Ferrets are cold-weather creatures, originally from Europe where it’s quite cold and can on average withstand temps of 10 degrees Fahrenheit. So I’m sure they’re enjoying themselves a bunch and you’ve got nothing to worry about. The highest they can stand is 75 to 80 and they could have a stroke at 80 so your house sounds like it feels quite nice to them. No worries<3.

Thats actually a good temp to house ferrets in. Anything over 80 degrees is deadly for a ferret – too hot. Their internal body temps are much higher then our own – normal is 101.4.

It might be a LITTLE chilly (you could crank it up to 65 and itd be perfect), which is why they’re snuggling down, but they’re built to handle colder temps, so dont worry!
